Everything you need to know about the Engagement Rate Calculator.
Back to the toolHow is engagement rate calculated?
Engagement rate = total engagements (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ followers × 100. You can also divide by reach or views for a more accurate picture of one post.
What is a good engagement rate on Instagram?
Around 1–3% by followers is typical; above 3% is good and above 6% is excellent. Smaller accounts usually have higher rates.
What is a good engagement rate on TikTok?
TikTok rates are higher. By views, 4–8% is common and above 10% is excellent.
Why use reach or views instead of followers?
Not all followers see every post. Engagement by reach or views shows how interesting the content was to the people who actually saw it.
Can this detect fake followers?
A large account with extremely low engagement (under 0.5%) can be a sign of bought followers or inactive audiences.
