Meta tags are snippets of HTML in the <head> of a page that tell search engines and social networks what the page is about — for example the title, description and share image.
How long should a title tag be?
Google shows about 580–600 pixels of a title on desktop, which is usually 50–60 characters. The pixel meter tells you exactly when your title will be cut off.
How long should a meta description be?
Aim for about 120–160 characters (up to ~920 pixels on desktop). Google may rewrite it, but a good description improves click-through rate.
Do meta keywords still matter?
No. Google has ignored the keywords meta tag since 2009, so this generator leaves it out by default.
What size should my Open Graph image be?
Use 1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1). This size looks sharp on Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and X.
