    What is schema markup?

Schema markup (structured data) is code that describes your page to search engines in a standard format from Schema.org. It helps Google understand your content and can make your result stand out with rich results.

Where do I put the JSON-LD code?

Paste the <script type="application/ld+json"> block into the <head> or <body> of the page it describes. In WordPress you can use a header/footer code plugin.

    Does schema improve rankings?

Schema is not a direct ranking factor, but rich results (stars, FAQs, prices) make your listing bigger and more attractive, which often increases clicks.

Which schema type should I use?

Use Organization or Local Business on your home page, Article on blog posts, Product on product pages, FAQ on pages with questions and answers, and Breadcrumb on all inner pages.

How do I test my schema?

Click “Rich Results Test”, paste the code and Google will show which rich results the page qualifies for and any errors.
